The Chicago Galant Consort is an ensemble drawing together the finest early musicians in the Chicago area under the direction of conductor and musicologist Thomas J. Tropp.

Specializing in the largely lost repertoire of the eighteenth-century Neapolitan Galant style (approximately 1720-1780), the Consort is the ensemble-in-residence for The Galant Masters Project and has released several premiere recordings for this project. In addition to recording, the Chicago Galant Consort presents two to three concerts per year and seeks opportunities to collaborate with other ensembles in either consultative or performing roles.
